Energy Storage for North San Diego County

About the Project

Arevon is building an energy storage project in Poway to support local energy reliability and maximize the use of renewable energy sources like solar and wind. Arevon is leading the development of the Nighthawk Project and other energy storage projects throughout California designed to efficiently store renewable energy that can be deployed back to the grid during peak energy usage periods.

California heavily relies on carbon-emitting fossil-fueled power resources to meet peak energy needs. Battery storage is an essential component of grid reliability and resilience as the state transitions away from fossil fuels and increasingly adopt renewables like wind and solar to improve air quality in our communities and meet California’s energy goals.
